A native Memphian, Janna attended Hutchison School through the eighth grade and graduated from White Station High School.  At Indiana University, she majored in psychology and communication disorders. She then won a grant to earn her Master of Science in speech-language pathology from Vanderbilt University.

Janna began her clinical work in San Diego at the Children’s Hospital as part of the cochlear implant team. She later worked in public elementary and middle schools, then owned and operated a private practice. She met her husband, Dennis, who was stationed at Marine Corps Air Station Miramar and flew F/A-18Ds. After tying the knot, they started a family, moved back to Memphis, and established JHA. Janna experienced the power of early intervention with her two children who benefited from therapy.

Over 10 years later, JHA has grown into a multidisciplinary practice with a team of highly trained therapists who have created a caring environment, showing compassion for all clients. JHA’s team encompasses many educational backgrounds and cultures, and the best commonality is the motivation to help change our clients lives for the better.
