Janna Hacker

Janna Hacker • M.S., CCC-SLP

Janna was awarded her Bachelor of Arts from Indiana University in psychology and speech-language pathology and her Master of Science from Vanderbilt University in speech-language pathology.

Janna began her clinical work at Children’s Hospital San Diego on the cochlear implant team. She later worked in public elementary and middle schools, then owned and operated a private practice in San Diego for four years. Janna started JHA in 2008 and enjoys providing interdisciplinary services to children and adults. 

During the past 17 years, she has performed more than 1,000 screenings and evaluations. Janna has attended trainings for PROMPT (Prompts for Restructuring Oral and Muscular Phonetic Targets), Talk Tools, several Lindamood Bell programs, LAMP (Language Acquisition through Motor Planning), and SOS (Sequential Oral Sensory) Approach to Feeding.

Janna published an article in The Journal of Speech, Hearing, and Language Research. She has presented on speech-language topics at national and state conferences, as well as in-service presentations to public and private schools. Janna was recently awarded the “Top 40 Under 40 in Business” from the Memphis Business Journal. 

As a native Memphian, Janna attended Hutchison School and White Station High School. She is married with two children, and she enjoys family activities and jogging.
